Cookie Policy
Effective 29 July 2026
In Plain English
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device so the site can remember you between visits. Sturdy Beacon uses the minimum set of cookies needed to run the website and, with your consent, a small number of analytics and advertising cookies to understand what content is useful and to measure whether the Company's marketing is working.
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies at any time using the cookie banner on the website or by adjusting your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to purchase or take the course.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and measure how visitors use the site. This Cookie Policy also applies to similar technologies such as pixel tags, local storage, and software development kits, all of which the Company refers to collectively as "cookies" for simplicity.
Categories of Cookies Used
Strictly Necessary
Required for the website and the course platform to function. These cookies enable core actions such as logging into your account, maintaining your session while you take the course, and processing payments. They cannot be switched off without breaking the Service and do not require your consent.
Functional
Remember your preferences (such as language selection) to provide a more personalized experience. These are set only after you accept them on the cookie banner.
Analytics
Help the Company understand how visitors interact with the website in aggregate — which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, which paths lead to purchase. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them on the cookie banner.
Advertising
Measure the effectiveness of paid campaigns on LinkedIn and, where applicable, other advertising platforms. These cookies are set only after you accept them on the cookie banner.

How to Manage Cookies
You have several ways to control cookies:
- The cookie banner shown when you first visit the site lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your choices. You can re-open the banner at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer.
- Your browser settings can be adjusted to reject cookies, delete existing cookies, or notify you before a cookie is set. Instructions vary by browser; look for "Privacy" or "Cookies" in your browser's settings.
- Opt-out tools for specific providers are also available: Google Analytics offers a browser opt-out add-on, and LinkedIn offers ad-preference controls.
Rejecting analytics and advertising cookies does not affect your ability to purchase or take the course. It only limits the Company's ability to measure aggregate usage and marketing effectiveness.
Do Not Track
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" signal. Because no consistent industry standard governs how sites should respond to that signal, the Company does not currently rely on it. You retain full control over cookies through the mechanisms described above.
Changes to This Policy
The Company may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When the list of cookies materially changes, the Effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
