THE JOURNEY
From accidental to intentional, in twelve modules.
Sturdy Beacon runs as a fourteen-package SCORM 1.2 system inside an organization’s existing LMS. Managers move through three phases — Foundation, Ascent, and Beacon — with a repeating architecture, thirty-two tools, and a Map that tracks the full arc.
THE MAP
Twelve modules. Three phases. One arc.

Every module is measured against whether the manager, at day ninety, actually leads differently — not just knows differently.
Managers see their own progress along this arc from the Home Base hub, module by module.
THE ARC
The arc is built in three deliberate phases.
The system does not train daily behavior in isolation. Sturdy Beacon positions each phase as the pre-work for the next. Foundation, then Ascent, then Beacon.
01
Foundation
Identity before technique.
MODULES 1–3
In Modules 1–3, a manager confronts what they actually believe about their own authority, values, and instincts. No decision-making tool goes down until the actual foundation is set. That is the true bedrock of the Lighthouse.
02
Ascent
The tower is where technique lives.
MODULES 4–9
Modules 4–9 build the six behaviors a manager uses every working day: reading and regulating emotion, direct communication, sustaining energy without burnout, calibrating harmony, generating momentum, and developing others. Every module ships with a tool that lives on inside the Home Base hub.
03
Beacon
The light reaches beyond the light-house.
MODULES 10–12
In Modules 10–12, a manager integrates the nine modules into a unified guiding vision, aligns their team to organizational strategy, and specifies a legacy that outlasts any one role. This is where Sturdy Beacon leaves an organization changed, not just a manager trained on new development.
INSIDE THE ARC
Three modules. One from each phase. Same structural depth.
Every module in the twelve-module system follows the same seven-section pedagogical structure — from self-diagnostic through applied practice around a real work scenario, closed with a tool a manager actually deploys. A single sample from each phase is shown.
FOUNDATION · MODULE 1
Building Your Foundation
Before a manager manages others, they name their own values and non-negotiables and land on their own leader-in-chief identity.

ASCENT · MODULE 5
Building Authentic Connections
Managers practice active-listening, empathy-lead, and mismatch-repair steps that convert difficult, awkward, or emotionally-charged conversations into trust-building moments.

BEACON · MODULE 11
Organizational Alignment
A single unit-level manager lifts up from their own department to a network-of-lighthouses view — their own team plus every team they touch. Module 11 gives them a two-step diagram for framing the connections between their personal vision and the org-wide vision, then aligning conversations upward so their organization is spoken to as an ecosystem, not a silo.

WHAT PROCUREMENT ASKS
Three questions every CHRO raises before signing.
PROCUREMENT ASK 01
The module isn’t done when the SCORM says complete.
Each of the twelve modules is built with a Reflect-and-Apply worksheet that then converts into a live 20–30 minute team meeting or 1:1 that the manager runs the same week they finish the SCORM.
A 30–60 day reflect-and-refine pulse then reopens the module to review what they applied and what changed on the team.
PROCUREMENT ASK 02
No new LMS, no new admin workflow.
The fourteen packages inside Sturdy Beacon load into the same, existing organizational LMS — SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004. No admin change required.
Full 508- and WCAG 2.1 AA accessible; light and dark-mode support. That is the deployment.
PROCUREMENT ASK 03
The math finance can defend to the board.
Gallup estimates that replacing an employee costs one-half to two times their annual salary. A single unresolved conflict or bad manager decision may cost the equivalent of a full annual salary.
A single manager who is a poor communicator costs a company well over the six-figure salary line.
The $5,000 investment gives finance a leading indicator every twelve months before contract renewal is set to expire.

WHO IS ACCOUNTABLE
Built by an educator, not a consultant.
Sturdy Beacon is designed and delivered by one accountable founder — a business educator, curriculum architect, and leadership program coach who has spent a career designing learning experiences that transform how people think, decide, and lead.
As a currently-practicing educator at a college-preparatory school in the Northeast, the founder works daily with the exact demographic Sturdy Beacon serves: future accidental managers about to graduate into organizations that will promote them without training. Sturdy Beacon was built to close that gap.
Every module, every tool, every measurement point is a personal design decision — not a committee output, not a stock content library, not a licensed curriculum. That accountability compounds across the twelve-module system.
